Garden work in Kesennuma

On the 22nd May, we arrived at Kesennuma Hope Centre.

We prayed on top of Mount Anba, while we were praying, we saw a rainbow in the clouds.

Ps David said, when a rainbow was seen in the sky over Sichuan, the earthquake occurred. Coming down, we saw some of the devastation of the 2011 tsunami.

On the way down, we bumped into a TV reporter who was supposed to visit our neighbour behind Hope centre. His left front wheel had gone into the drain. We changed tires for him in no time and invited him to lunch.

At the Hope Garden, we broke the hard ground and removed weeds to enable planting.

It was tough work at Hope Garden. We had to use shovels and rakes to remove the weeds, some of which have deep roots. The roots also represent sin in our lives. If you allow them to from, they will sink deep roots into your soul.

We cut the long grass at Mrs M’s house that day.  She was very pleased that we, volunteers came to help her. Her house is on a small hill. On March 11, the tsunami came right up to her garden. Many people ran up the hill by her house to take refuge.
